Why Hoppenville
celebrations of life live somewhere on the estate.
When you're planning a celebration of life, you need a room that holds grief and gratitude at once, without feeling like a rented hall. The Welcome Center does that well: 5,400 square feet under 20-foot ceilings, a stone fireplace, and a full-length patio opening onto the gardens, so guests can step outside when they need air. For a smaller, family-scale gathering, the Bank Barn offers a quieter version of the same idea: hand-hewn timber, a string-light ceiling, and an adjacent lawn for a short outdoor service beforehand. Both venues suit the typical range for this kind of day, from an intimate 40 up to 200, and both work equally well as a reception or as a service followed by lunch. Catering comes from one of two in-house teams, Robert Ryan Catering & Design or Tosco's Catering, so the food is handled by people who know the space. You're free to bring your own florist or musician, or draw from the estate's preferred list. If the weather turns, every venue has an indoor rain plan built in at no extra cost, decided together 24 to 48 hours ahead, so nothing about the day depends on the forecast. A coordinator walks the details with you in advance, so the day itself asks nothing of your family but presence.
